Mysterious caves set into crags that have stood in Creswell for thousands of years. Creswell Crags allows you to step back in time to the first people to tread Britain’s ground.
Take tours in the caves, filled with Ice Age paintings, Witch marks and rich history of the surrounding villages and communities. Each guided tour is a wonder, suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
Take a look around the museum with real fossils, bones and animals you can handle and then finish your day with a bite to eat in their café and a snoop in their eclectic gift shop.
Creswell Crags also often hosts events through the summer months, such as performances, festivals and markets.
Suit up, load up and get out there. Adventure Fields, Blyth, lets you compete or work with your friends, family or colleagues to complete exciting challenges.

Situated not far from Worksop, you can find the Welbeck estate, Notscutts garden centre, Welbeck farm shop, Portland gallery and craft shop. A great set of activities for a sunny afternoon.
Welbeck Walks
Visit Welbeck estate for picturesque walks through meadows, Creswell Crags and Belph Brook. In summer you can view an incredible display of wildflowers and the wildlife that the countryside attracts.
Welbeck Farm Shop
Welbeck Farm Shop sells only local produce, often from the Welbeck Estate itself, such as their Stichelton cheese, Welbeck Abbey Brewery ales, and freshly made Bakehouse bread. It also features a butchery, a cheese larder, and a resident chocolatier.
Welbeck Art Gallery
Visit the stunning art gallery, filled with pieces gathered from the estate throughout the years, including: Michelangelo’s ‘Madonna Of Silence’ and the pearl earring worn by Charles I at his execution.
State Rooms
View the incredible and rare Portland Collection and the State Rooms at Welbeck Estate. This exclusive look at the history of the area and the prestigious family at the 17th century Welbeck Abbey. The tour features some of the earliest rooms in the abbey with their famous artwork, the goes on to show the private chapel, library and long curved corridor, ending with the best arts and crafts display in Britain.
Supplied by the farm shop opposite, The Harely Café is an award-winning place to eat. Choose from the comfortable barn inside or the sunlit solid wood tables outside. All their food is sourced from the estate itself and local farmers. Each dish is seasonal, fresh and delicious. This alone is worth the visit to Welbeck; it’s a great way to begin or end your day at Welbeck Estate. It will not disappoint.
